Hey family! I had a wonderful week! Thanks for your letters. I received the package you sent me. Thanks for the pictures. I really like them. I really liked the candy as well, so did my companion. We had a conference this week. I went to the city. Elder Clark of the 70 spoke. He was amazing. He spoke for 3 hours and I was never bored. It really re-focused me. Ever since the conference I have had a new mentality. I'm really starting to understand what a mission is all about. Last Friday I spoke for a baptism! Elder Voss and Elder Canizalez had a baptism. I spoke about baptism. I did a really good job. I really surprised myself. Whenever we had baptisms during my first couple of months here, I used to think " Wow, when will I give a talk at a baptism? I wonder if I can do it." Wow, how weird, I've never spoken at a baptism in English. I really enjoyed giving the talk. I don't get that nervous anymore like I used to. Well, as soon as I walk up to talk I get a little nervous, but after I start talking it doesn't even effect me. We have been teaching an 11 year old girl. She will be baptized next week. I won't be here for it. I'm going to leave the area. I have been here a while. Her dad lives in the United States. He is not a member but he knows that the church is true. We talked to him by phone the other day. He is in agreement. He wants to be a member but he is addicted to cigars. Maybe her getting baptized will motivate him to do the same! She really doesn't understand us very well, so I made these pictures a while ago for the plan of salvation. The pictures really helped her. She is really shy. Well, I hope you all know how blessed you all are. The house is spectacular. That house is a testament of God's love for us. Don't forget the Lord. Everything we have comes from our Heavenly Father. I have a question. Have you dedicated the house yet? If not, you should get on that. Ok, I have to get going. I love you all very much, and I miss you all. Keep me in your prayers. Don't forget to do your family prayers. Those are just as important as your personal prayers.

Hello family. How's everyone doing? I'm doing just fine. This week has been good. We taught a lot this week but our labors haven't been noticed. None of the investigators we taught attended church Sunday. Well, it sounds like you guys had a very relaxing week. Hey, be careful with those kids. They could get injured playing your pool. Make sure they don't come over while you guys aren't home. Does the pool have a fence around it? It sounds like those missionaries are having a rough week. We usually don't have those kinds of problems. We always have some one that visits with us. They don't want to progress. They'll permit us to teach them, they just don't want to go to church. We teach a lot more lessons than the missionaries in the states. The missions are completely different. Wow, I remember Elder Ray. He played the guitar and he is from Hawaii. I can't believe he is going home. Time flies! These two years are going to go by so quickly! I went on companionship exchanges again with Elder Erickson. He is a good missionary. I enjoy going on splits with gringos. It makes things more interesting. While we were on the exchange, we placed a baptism date for the 29th! Do you still talk to his mom? I'm going on a companion exchange tomorrow with a mini-missionary. He isn't a missionary yet. He should leave for his mission next month. I didn't know they still had mini-missionaries. Have you seen the movie The Other Side of Heaven? Well Colipoque's companion was a mini-missionary. I'm glad to her you got your bed. I bet if feels good to have a nice bed to sleep on. Haven't you all been sleeping on the ground? Wow, I wish I had some pictures of the house. Maybe you guys could send me a few photos. I started reading the Bible this week. I read it before I go to bed. Nothing that interesting has happened this week. Well, I miss you all and I love you. We ate pizza today! OK I love you all.

Hey family! It was nice to talk to you all yesterday. I got a little baggy after the phone call. I wish I could have talked to you for a little longer, but I have to follow the rules of the mission. I have not sent the memory stick to you all. Sorry I should have told you that. I forgot. You don't have to worry about me. I am very safe. The thieves here are afraid to rob us. They think they'll go to hell. There are a lot of religious people here. More than in the states. It seems like everyone has a church that they go to. I have not been doing 50 pushups and 50 situps every day. I do other exercises in the morning. We have to exercise for 30 minutes every day. The church gave us a book of exercises. I am definitely staying in good shape. Oh, I have a scripture for you all. Doctrine and Covenants 20 verse 5 6. I'm glad you were pleased with my Spanish. I was really surprised at how much Anna understood me. I'm the same way. I understand more than I can speak. I don't understand everything but it's getting better. I wish I had some pictures of the new house. After all, I send send you pictures of me. It sounds like your doing a lot to it. I do need clothes, but I don't need you send me clothes. I can buy them here. They are much cheaper here than in the states. I bought a white shirt for 140 lempiras. That comes out to 8 dollars in the states. Too bad I didn't get to talk to Ashley or Angie. That would have been nice. I really miss them. Oh, stop calling the mission. They don't want the parents calling the mission if isn't necessary. You will be notified if anything happens to me. Don't worry! Thanks for your loving concerns. I really do appreciate that you guys care about me so much, but you can't call the mission anymore. We should have a baptism this month on the 21st. I am excited! I will definitely continue to learn more Spanish after the mission. I want to master the language. Ok, I love you all! Have a good week. Stay out of trouble. I miss you much!

Hey family! It sounds like everyone is doing just fine! Happy anniversary! I'm sure you all had a good time! Happy birthday, Dad. Cinco de mayo means 5th of May in English. I never really thought about what that meant until I read your letter. I'm doing good here in Honduras. This week was very difficult. We worked really hard. We walked more than 20 miles this week. My companion has a blister on his foot we walked so much. We have a baptism date for the 22nd. We met a girl. She went to church last Sunday and my companion set a date for her. I'm excited! Its not set in stone yet. We are going to visit her tomorrow. Not many of our in investigators are progressing. The work has been moving very slow. I gave a lesson in our district meeting last Tuesday. I talked about how to teach to others with simplicity. I had a teach for 15 minutes. I think I taught for about 8 minutes. I'm enjoying the mission. Sometimes its hard but I'm getting the hang of it. I still don't understand everything that the people are saying to me, but I am trying my best. I believe my Spanish is getting better. Its a slow process. My clothes are becoming a little worn. I'm due for a new pair of slacks. There is an elder in my district named Elder Voss. He is really cool. He says hi, and that he loves you all. This coming week is Mother's Day! How exciting. How quickly time goes by. These two years are going to go by so quickly. The time the Lord has given is very short. I have to make the best of it. I learned something this week. No matter how hard somethings might appear to us, if the Lord commands us to do something, we have to do it! Like Nephi, who was commanded to built a boat. We are not commanded to built boats or lead a people across a desert. The Lord has asked us to live his commandments and to give a little of our time. As fearful as we might be to give up our time or do what the Lord asks, God knows best, and he will bless us for our efforts. We might not be adequate to do the lords work, but if we do all we can to get the job done, he will help us and bless us with strength. I am very grateful to be able to do the Lords work as difficult as it may be. Thanks for all your letters. They are very appreciated. I don't know what I would do with out them. I love you all. Have a good week. Oh, to answer your question, it is not very hot right now.
